The prison of Milano Bollate is located in the NW sector of the municipal territory of Milan, at an altitude of approximately 147.5 m above sea level (altitude taken from the CTR, or Region Technical Map), in an intensely urbanised, flat area.
The new building is located in the north-west of the area, within the compound, on a plot of land currently used for sports activities.
The new pavilion for inmates who have been granted semi-release status as well as inmates subject to Art. 21 consists of a building with five floors above ground and one underground.
Access to the building can be through the south-west fronts at 0.00 level on the ground floor (main access) or through the entrance on the south-east side at -3.17 level of the basement floor, both entrances being controlled by prison officers.
