Stefano Carera"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On 4 December 2024, at the Politecnico di Milano, <strong>Architect Stefano Carera<\/strong> gave a Lectio Magistralis entitled \u2018Social Architecture: Innovative Projects for Wellbeing\u2019, highlighting the role of <strong>architecture<\/strong> as a <strong>tool for social transformation<\/strong>. Carera emphasised the importance of design that combines functionality, sustainability and social inclusion to address contemporary challenges such as urban regeneration, the use of sustainable materials and participatory design. The intervention aligned with Tecnicaer&#8217;s projects, which work to <strong>improve the quality of life<\/strong> through the <strong>creation of innovative spaces<\/strong>. Emblematic examples include: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Parco della Salute in Turin<\/strong>: a 313,725 m2 complex integrating sustainability, permeable public spaces and design flexibility.<\/li>\n<li><strong>New Livorno Hospital<\/strong>: transformation of a former industrial area into a social and health centre with therapeutic gardens and advanced infrastructure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These projects demonstrate how architecture can become an engine of social and environmental change, with hospitals acting as inclusive public places, capable of regenerating urban contexts.
