From October 27 to November 2, 2025, Milan hosted the seventh edition of Milano Arch Week, the week dedicated to architecture, urban transformation, and the future of cities. Promoted by the City of Milan, Politecnico di Milano, and Triennale Milano, the 2025 edition \u2014 titled \u201cInequalities and Architecture\u201d \u2014 explored urban inequality and the role of architecture in fostering inclusion, sustainability, and collective well-being.<\/p>\n

An invitation to share Tecnicaer\u2019s experience<\/strong><\/p>\n

Among the opening events, on Monday, October 27, 2025, the Ma.BaSAPERLab at Politecnico di Milano hosted the seminar \u201cArchitectures for Health. Design as a Tool for Inclusion and Innovation.\u201d The meeting brought together academics, designers, and institutions to discuss how healthcare architecture can contribute to reducing inequality.<\/p>\n

Within this context, Tecnicaer was invited to share its expertise through a presentation by Stefano Carera, Engineer and Technical Director of the company, who took part in the roundtable moderated by sociologist Mario Abis (IULM University). Carera\u2019s contribution highlighted how hospital design today represents one of the main fields where architectural planning can foster inclusion, innovation, and well-being.<\/p>\n

Architecture and health: a multidisciplinary dialogue<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event was introduced by Professor Stefano Capolongo, Director of the ABC Department at Politecnico di Milano, and featured representatives from leading Italian firms such as Mario Cucinella Architects, Deerns, Politecnica, and Artelia.
\nDuring the discussion, participants also presented the new UNI 11993 standard \u2014 \u201cHospitals and Healthcare Facilities \u2013 Terms and Definitions\u201d \u2014 which introduces a shared technical language for the healthcare sector, promoting collaboration among architects, engineers, and healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

Innovating to include<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tecnicaer\u2019s participation in Milano Arch Week confirms the company\u2019s recognized role within the landscape of Italian healthcare design. Stefano Carera\u2019s talk helped strengthen the connection between research, design, and technological innovation, emphasizing how an integrated approach can enhance both the efficiency of healthcare facilities and the quality of life of the people who use them.<\/p>\n
