On Friday, October 3, in the Sala Trasparenza of the Piedmont Region, the design for the new ASL TO5 Unified Hospital was officially presented. The facility is set to become the primary healthcare reference point for more than 310,000 residents in the area.
The project, with a total value of 302 million euros, involves the construction of a modern, sustainable, and technologically advanced hospital that will replace the current facilities in Moncalieri, Chieri, and Carmagnola, consolidating and strengthening healthcare services across the area.
A project by Tecnicaer Engineering
The new facility is designed by Tecnicaer Engineering, which developed the project through a highly innovative approach: it is, in fact, the first hospital in Italy to be designed with the support of artificial intelligence.
The use of advanced algorithms made it possible to optimize layouts, circulation flows, costs, and requirements, ensuring maximum functional efficiency and integrated resource management.
During the press conference, Fabio Inzani, President of Tecnicaer Engineering, emphasized the vision behind the project:
“Here is the English translation:
This hospital maximizes available resources and focuses on technological innovation and environmental sustainability, with 75% of its energy coming from renewable sources. It will be an intelligent hospital, equipped with cloud-based systems, a digital twin, and full readiness for robotics. .”
Technology, sustainability, and well-being
The new Cambiano Hospital represents a significant step forward for healthcare in Piedmont—a model of healthcare infrastructure in which design, technology, and attention to people’s well-being come together to create an efficient, safe, and future-oriented environment.
