All informations about Oglio Po Hospital

The project for the Oglio Po Hospital involved a comprehensive refurbishment of the building envelope, combined with seismic upgrading of the structures, with the aim of improving the building’s energy performance and increasing safety standards.
The intervention focused exclusively on the external components of the building, specifically the façades and the roof.
The façades were completely renovated through the installation of a new system consisting of insulated prefabricated panels and high-performance windows, replacing the original elements from the 1990s, which had deteriorated over time. This intervention significantly improved the energy performance of the envelope and the overall quality of the external surfaces.

At the same time, the roof was entirely refurbished with the installation of rock wool insulation layers and highly reflective waterproof membranes. The new stratigraphy optimizes rainwater drainage and contributes to reducing the building’s energy consumption.
From a structural perspective, the seismic upgrading was achieved through the introduction of reinforced concrete frames and the installation of innovative active damping systems (Active Mass Dampers) on the roof, designed to improve the building’s response in the event of an earthquake.
Through these interventions, Oglio Po Hospital is equipped with a renewed, more efficient and safer envelope, capable of ensuring improved indoor comfort and continuity in the delivery of healthcare services to the community.
