In Ivrea, the project for the New Hospital of Ivrea and the Canavese area was officially presented — a complex healthcare infrastructure where design, technology, and organization become concrete tools to improve the quality of care.
The project, presented by Stefano Carera together with Elisa Versari and Nicola Barbone, stems from a process of listening to healthcare professionals and patients, with the goal of translating clinical and organizational needs into efficient, functional, and people-oriented spaces.
The approach developed by Tecnicaer integrates BIM, artificial intelligence, and data-driven design to optimize flows, pathways, and functional relationships. Within this framework, the podium-and-tower model, the separation of flows, and the central Main Street become strategic elements for improving safety, efficiency, and the perceived quality of spaces.
The new hospital will include 301 beds and more than 56,000 square meters of surface area, within the complex redevelopment context of the former Montefibre site, transformed into a new healthcare system integrated with the city.
A project that confirms how design methodology, technological innovation, and engineering vision can generate real and measurable value for both the local area and the people it serves.
