A hospital that combines the necessary functional, distributional, and technological innovation with the indispensable added value of human, civic, urban, and social value. The project has taken into account the fragility of patients and therefore wanted to create an environment where children could have positive experiences in the hospital.
The therapeutic garden is an integral part of a strong presence of the system in greenery, it is an outdoor space to promote and improve the health and well-being of children, whose benefits can be obtained through passive experiences (watching or being in a garden) or active involvement (gardening, rehabilitation therapy, and other activities).
The rooftop is dedicated to the healing garden, which is accessed through a “sensory ramp” furnished with aromatic plants, connecting with the library and the playroom. In the entrance hall, interactive elements allow young patients to experience the waiting moment.
